This article (and I'm sure there are others), has instructions with a supporting file to restore the hack for SP1. We have a strange problem here where sometimes remote desktop to our fileserver just stops working. I've also tried to reboot this server, but there is no improvment.

then if another gpo overwrites it it can all of a sudden stop working. I've been having the same problem for weeks and had no idea what the problem was. I uninstalled and loaded the latest 180.48 instead and the problem is resolved. A complete failure to respond will be obvious in the DOS screen.

I want to add that I have a little webserver running thru IIS on that XP box, and I can view that little website just fine remotely. It should contain a error for RDP. Well it doesn't give you an error, but simply wait's for a couple of seconds, then appears to time out.
