Ultimate Custom Night is a new game from Scott Cawthon, the creator of Five Nights At Freddy's. It is the fifth game in the series, and the first to be released on the Nintendo Switch. The game Ultimate Custom Night is a horror spin-off of Five Nights at Freddy's, the goal of this game is to survive a night shift at the “Fredbear’s Pizzeria”. The player needs to survive a night shift at the pizzeria, without being killed by the animatronics.
Gameplay
The player takes the role of a night guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, and must survive from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM by shutting down the animatronics and keeping an eye on the cameras. However, there are challenges that can be done during that time. These challenges are either "replaying previous night levels with different challenges" or "customizing the night"/ "custom night". Custom Night gameplay includes changing the A.I., modifying the difficulty, giving the animatronics more or less time to move, and modify the number of power-ups. There are also special challenges that can be done.
The gameplay of Ultimate Custom Night is similar to that of Five Nights at Freddy's. The player needs to survive from 12 am to 6 am without dying from the animatronics. Unlike the original game, Ultimate Custom Night also includes a day mode, where the player can interact with the animatronics. The player starts with a flashlight, but as time passes, the flashlight will start to lose power and eventually break. The player can turn on the lights to make it easier to see in the dark, but the animatronics will be attracted to the light and will try to get to the player. If the player jumpscares the animatronics, they will go away for a few seconds.
Graphics
The graphics are considerably different from the previous games. The graphics are more detailed, and the animatronics are larger, and more intimidating. There are also more dynamic camera angles. The graphics of Ultimate Custom Night are very similar to the graphics of the original game. The animatronics are very detailed and they move smoothly.
Replayability
The game is very replayable because the player can complete challenges, customize the levels, and play in their own pace. Ultimate Custom Night is quite repetitive. Once the player has played through all the levels, the player can replay the levels as different characters or on different difficulties.
